Chiyaan Vikram back after health scare, picture of the actor at Cobra audio launch goes viral
The team of Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra has kept its promise. The film's director Ajay Gnanamuthu had recently stated that Vikram would attend the audio launch of the film, which was scheduled for today. Vikram had recently has some discomfort in his chest and was rushed to the hospital. Though rumours were abuzz that Vikram had had a cardiac arrest, the hospital authorities dismissed it as rumours and released a statement which said that the actor was recovering and that he would soon be discharged from the hospital.
Fans of the actor were extremely worried that the actor might not be able to attend the audio launch of the film. That's when Ajay Gnanamuthu wrote on his social media handle that the actor would attend the event. He wrote, "The Grand Audio Launch Of #Cobra on July 11 at #PhoenixMarketcityChennai with the PRESENCE OF #CHIYAANVIKRAM ๐ฅSee you all there ๐ An @arrahman Musical ๐ฅ @7ScreenStudio @Udhaystalin @RedGiantMovies_ @IrfanPathan @SrinidhiShetty @SonyMusicSouth #CobraAudioLaunch (sic)."
Vikram not only attended the launch, but also looked dapper in his outfit. Video of the actor walking towards the venue did the rounds on the internet. The event also had the film's music director AR Rahman performing live. The soundtrack from the film was released yesterday ahead of the launch and the album comprises five songs- Thumbi Thullal, Adheera, Uyir Urugudhey, Tharangini and Yele Ilanchingamey. The song Uyir Urugudhey is sung by Rahman himself and has lyrics penned by Thamarai.
In attendance were the film's leading lady Srinidhi Shetty, Ajay Gnanamuthu, Mirnalini Ravi, lyricist Thamarai, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Dhruv Vikram. Cricketer Irfan Pathan, who plays a crucial role in Cobra, was seen with his son Imran Khan Pathan. Vikram plays a mathematician in the film, which has an ensemble cast. Cobra is all set to hit screens on August 11.
