It's official! Mollywood’s National-Award winning actor Suraj Venjaramoodu is all set to make his Tamil film debut in Vikarm’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Chiyaan 62. The makers of the film took to their social media handles to announce the exciting news by sharing a poster of the actor from the film. “National and Kerala state award-winning actor #SurajVenjaramoodu, who has mesmerised us back to back in films like #DrivingLicense #AndroidKunjappan etc. is now on board for #Chiyaan62! (sic)”, the caption read.

With Chiyaan 62, the Malayalam cinema’s favourite actor will be foraying into the world of Kollywood and fans from both the industries are thrilled to have the actor onboard! Here are some of the reactions of the netizens over the exciting announcement that just dropped!

Suraj Venjaramoodu’s earlier shelved Tamil project

For the unversed, in 2017, Suraj was supposedly roped in on a Tamil project titled Konjam Nadinga Boss. Touted to be a comic thriller, the film was reported to be helmed by Chandramohan. However, the project never materialised and got shelved later. Now with Chiyaan 62 being finalised, the Malayalam star will finally enter the Tamil cinema, which has been a long-awaited debut!

Bankrolled by HR Pictures, Chiyaan 62 is billed as an action thriller in which Vikram plays a middle-aged man. In the earlier announcement video, we saw Vikram beating up two men who were following a woman, trying to register a police complaint. The first glance gives viewers a glimpse into the actor’s action look. Other details about his character are yet to be revealed. However, the film promises to be an intriguing thriller and with ace director SU Arun Kumar’s storyline, the movie definitely has more surprises in store for audiences.

Earlier, actor SJ Suryah had joined the project. He is rumoured to be playing a cop in the film.

Chiyaan 62 to go on floors soon!

According to reports, the makers of the film had planned to kickstart the shooting of Chiyaan 62 in April. The director had revealed that he had completed the scripting of the project, which is in the post-production stage. If things go as planned, the film will begin rolling from April.
