Nawazuddin Siddiqui returns as Inspector Jatil Yadav from a small town. According to PeepingMoon, Chitrangda has joined him for the sequel of the Netflix film.

Eight years back, Chitrangda walked out of Nawazuddin's Babumoshai Bandookbaaz. She felt uncomfortable with the intimate scenes and chose to leave the project. It definitely looks like they have let the bygones be bygones and move ahead in their professional life.

Raat Akeli Hai 2 schedule

Honey Trehn is currently finalizing details of the project which is expected to go on floors within a month. The movie is eyeing a release in the second half of this year. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays the lead antagonist in the Maddock Supernatural Universe film Thama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, will start work on Raat Akeli Hai 2 after wrapping up that movie. While Chitrangda's schedule is still unclear, she has Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 and Neeraj Pandey's series Khakhee: The Bengal Chapter, both eyeing 2025 release.

Raat Akeli Hai was a 2020 thriller-mystery also featuring Shivani Raghuvanshi, Radhika Apte and Shweta Tripathi. The story was about a misfit inspector being assigned a murder case of a landlord. The victim’s secretive family and his own emotions turn the case into a rather tough one to solve. The movie received applauds from both critics and viewers alike.
