Chirunavvutho actor Venu Thottempudi makes a comeback with Ravi Teja-starrer Ramarao On Duty

The lineup of actors for Ravi Teja's actioner Ramarao On Duty is getting bigger and better by the day. Karnan actress Ravisha Vijayan had hogged the limelight after bagging one of the lead roles in the film recently. Now, it's Swayamvaram, Chirunavvutho-fame actor Venu Thottempudi, who is all set to make a comeback with the action thriller. Venu will play a crucial role in the film that promises to tap into his potential as a spontaneous performer. He was last seen in the comedy Ramachari alongside Kamalinee Mukherjee.

After his sabbatical from films, Venu devoted time to his business ventures and was in the news recently for helping the needy during the COVID-19 lockdown. The actor made his debut with the surprise success Swayamvaram and had several hits under his belt including Chirunavvutho, Pellam Oorelithe, Kalyana Ramudu and Hanuman Junction. He had even played character roles in films like Chintakayala Ravi, Dammu to name a few.

Ramarao On Duty, written and directed by Sarath Mandava, is a film based on true incidents and also features Divyansha Kaushik, Nasser, Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh, Rahul Ramakrishna, Sree and Chaitanya Krishna in key roles. Sudhakar Cherukuri produces the film under SLV Cinemas LLP, while its technical crew includes cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, editor Praveen KL, and composer Sam CS. Ravi Teja is also working on Khiladi with Rakshasudu director Ramesh Varma, where he plays a double role. The actor's Sankranti release Krack was a blockbuster that sprung life back into theatres across Telugu states after the pandemic.
