The superstar returned to the set of Mohan Raja’s Godfather, which is the remake of Malayalam movie Lucifer
Back in January, Chiranjeevi revealed that he had contracted COVID-19 and thus, he had to take a break from work. The actor has now returned after recovering and is back on the sets of his upcoming project, Godfather.
The superstar took to Twitter to announce his return to work after contracting the virus, and also shared photos from the sets of Godfather. The actor wrote, “Tested Negative. Back to work & Back in Action with full steam. Heartfelt thanks for all your love and wishes for my recovery. Humbled & Energised!”
The photos show the actor in the sets of the movie and engaged in conversation with the other makers of the movie. He is also seen talking to director Mohan Raja, who seems to be happy to have the actor back working again.
Directed by Mohan Raja, the movie is backed by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Godfather is the official Telugu remake of the blockbuster Malayalam movie Lucifer which had Mohanlal in the lead and was the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Godfather is touted to be an intense political action drama and also stars Nayanthara and Satyadev Kancharana among others. The music for the project is by S Thaman, marking his maiden collaboration with Chiranjeevi.
On the technical side, the movie has Nirav Shah handling the camera and A. Sreekar Prasad as the editor.
Apart from Godfather Chiranjeevi is also set to star in Bhola Shankar the Telugu remake of Ajith Kumar’s Vedhalam. Keerthy Suresh will be seen in the movie, playing the role of the superstar’s sister. Chiranjeevi is also working on Acharya with his son Ram Charan.
