This will be the first time where Chirag will be donning the avatar of a desi and rustic antagonist for the upcoming Ram Pothineni movie, tentatively titled RAPO19 directed by Lingusamy. The movie will feature Aadhi Pinisetty as the main antagonist and Akshara Gowda as the female lead. The film will be a frolicking musical by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad and bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screens.

Chirag spoke about his character in the upcoming RAPO19 by saying it’s a unique one that will be new for the audience. It is unlike his previous urbane villainous roles from Kaappaan and Anjaan. He mentioned that he is trying to get out of his sophisticated antagonistic image for which his upcoming character is the perfect fit. His character is someone who is from the locality of a village area who looks rustic and raw. He talks about his character being a man of a few words who has his own motivation to do what he wants to do.

According to a TOI report, Chirag said that he had completed about twelve days of RAPO19’s shooting at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, where a huge set was erected. He was working along with Ram Pothineni and Aadhi about whom the actor spoke highly of by saying, “They are both very talented and are different character-wise. They are very co-operative as co-stars and it’s good to shoot with them.”

The actor is currently staying in Mumbai after completing his initial schedule and is said to return to the sets by September.
