Also starring Hiten Tejwani, the yet-to-be-titled movie is directed by Puneet Sharma
Actor-director Sudhanshu Rai - who is best known for his thriller projects like Chaipatti Detective Boomrah and Chintaa Mani - is now working on an yet-untitled sci-fi feature film set in the heartland of India.
The upcoming movie will be helmed by Puneet Sharma, who directed Chintaa Mani. Dubbed a thriller, the storyline of the new film also has a Bhojpuri flavour. In it, Sudhanshu will be seen sharing screen space with actors Sourabh Raaj Jain, Hiten Tejwani, Shobhit Sujay and Manisha Sharma.

Speaking about his character in the film, Sudhanshu said, “I play a central character in the movie, who weaves together the plots of the story and its distinct characters. My character also connects two different time frames in the sci-fi thriller. The film revolves around my character that traverses the urban and rural landscapes of the country India.”
Commenting on the film’s Bhojpuri flavour, Sudhanshu said, “I come from Gorakhpur, a small town in eastern UP. During my childhood, I have experienced the joy of living a simple life. When I came to Delhi, a piece of my native always stayed within me. Stories set in India’s heartland have always found fondness among the audience. But unfortunately, the exploration has remained confined to rom-coms, crime and political thrillers. This is the first time in Bollywood that a sci-fi film based on this part of the country is being made, and the Bhojpuri language plays an integral part in the narrative. The film is majorly shot in a village near Gorakhpur, while a considerable portion will be filmed in Delhi soon.”

Hiten, according to Sudhanshu, has delivered a stellar performance in the film. “Saurabh is making his Bollywood debut with this film, while former journalist Shobhit, who turned to acting at 40, is playing a lovable character in the film. Then we have some renowned faces from Bollywood, making their presence felt with their entertaining performances,” he summed up.
