Chhatrasal trailer: This tale of an unsung warrior stars Ashutosh Rana and Jitin Gulati

Chhatrasal will debut on MX Player on July 29,,

MX Player dropped the trailer of Chhatrasal starring Ashutosh Rana and Jitin Gulati in lead roles. The series revolves around King Chhatrasal’s war against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb during the latter’s brutal reign of Bundelkhand.

Set in 1649, the trailer follows Ashutosh’s merciless emperor Alamgir Aurangzeb, who compares himself with a crocodile. Chhatrasal, in his teens, vows to take revenge on Aurangzeb and free the people of Bundelkhand. As he matures, Chhatrasal joins forces with Chhatrapati Shivaji to defeat the Mughal king. The epic drama promises to reminisce about the historic era.

Ashutosh talked about his character in the series and said in a statement that Aurangzeb is one of the most feared and powerful emperors in history, and while he has played antagonist roles in the past, this was daunting. He further mentioned that it allowed him to explore a different genre of acting. “I hope that the audiences relive the bravery of Maharaja Chhatrasal with this web series,” the actor added.

While talking about the upcoming epic drama series, Jitin said in a statement, “It is through stories like this that our rich history and heritage prevails. I hope viewers are inspired by the tale of this unsung warrior.”

The Anadii Chaturvedi directorial also features Manish Wadhwa, Anushka Luhar, Rudra Soni and Vaibhavi Shandilya in key roles. Chhatrasal will debut on MX Player on July 29.
