Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley: Lara Dutta is thrilled to work with Vishal and Rekha Bhardwaj

An adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel The Sittaford Mystery, the SonyLIV original show also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah and Wamiqa Gabbi

Last seen in Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor-starrer Bell Bottom actress and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta is thrilled to be part of upcoming television series Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley. She recently said that it’s a “dream come true” for her to work with director Vishal Bhardwaj and singer Rekha Bhardwaj.

Also starring Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Neena Gupta, Gulshan Grover, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Paoli Dam and Jubilee fame Wamiqa Gabbi, the SonyLIV original show is the official adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1931 detective fiction The Sittaford Mystery. Known for his movies like Maqbool Omkara and Kaminey, Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley marks the filmmaker’s web series debut.

Taking to social media, Lara posted a picture with both Vishal and Rekha and captioned it, “To work with both Vishal sir and Rekha ji together is just a dream come true!! One that I’ve been hoping and praying for, for a long time!! Set in the snow-capped mountains of Himachal Pradesh, Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley will follow the journey of Charlie Chopra and her quest to uncover a deep mystery.

The project is supported by Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures, in collaboration with Priti Shahani’s Tusk Tale Films and Agatha Christie Limited. Vishal is also the co-screenwriter of the series, along with Anjum Rajabali and Jyotsna Hariharan. James Prichard, Basi Akpabio and Leo Dezoysa are the show’s executive producers, on the show on behalf of Agatha Christie Limited.
