Chandrayaan- 3: Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma & more bounce with joy on the mission’s accomplishment. 

Congratulations India! Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar mission, has officially landed on the south pole of the Moon. With this historic feat, India has become the fourth country in the world to achieve this feat after the United States, Russia, and China. Not only this, but India will be the only country in the world to land on the lunar South Pole.

On this historic day, Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and more Bollywood celebrities have extended their best wishes to the countrymen on the occasion.

Shah Rukh Khan on Instagram wrote, “Chaand Taare todh laoon… Saari Duniya par main chhaoon. Aaj india aur #ISRO chhaa gaya. Congratulations to all the scientists and engineers…the whole team which has made India so proud. Chandrayaan-3 has successfully soft-landed on the moon. #Chandrayaan3”

Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, and Shraddha Kapoor, too, celebrated the joyous occasion, by dropping a news story about the development on their Instagram handles.

R Madhavan, popular for Bollywood films namely ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Newton’, commented on Instagram, “Words are not enough to describe this achievement Jai Hind, my heart swells with pride. I hope I can stay sane.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also commented on this joyous occasion. "Chandrayaan-3's triumph mirrors the aspirations and capabilities of 140 crore Indians. To new horizons and beyond! Proud moment for India," wrote PM Modi on the microblogging site X.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said the Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon on August 23, 2023, around 18:04 hours IST. “While the Chandrayaan-2 mission was only partially successful since the lander lost contact after a hard landing, the ISRO successfully established two-way communication between the Chandrayaan-3 Lander Module and the still orbiting Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter,” read a press statement by the Government of India.

Two days ago, the ISRO shared new images of the Lunar far side area captured by the Chandrayaan-3.
