The star cast comprises Vadivelu, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Srushti Dange, Smruti Venkat, Lakshmi Menon, Suresh Menon, Manobala, to name a few. Chandramukhi 2 is said to be follow-up to the 2005 blockbuster, however there is no clarity on whether the film is a sequel to it.

This is Kangana Ranaut's third film in Tamil, after Dhaam Dhoom (2008) and Thalaivi (2021). And due to Kangana's presence in it, the team has decided to release the film in Hindi as well. Chandramukhi 2 will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
