Chaitra J Achar revealed as the second lead in Rakshit Shetty’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello

The actress will be seen with Rakshit in the modern-day portions in the Hemanth M Rao directorial.

This week, director Hemanth M Rao and his team of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello had announced the reveal of a pivotal character in the film that has Rakshit Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth in the lead. Turns out that Chaitra J Achar, who was most recently seen in films like Gilky, in which she played someone with cerebral palsy, and Taledanda, where she was a tribal, along with the late Sanchari Vijay, has been holding on to the secret that she’s in the film for a while. Interestingly, Chaitra is a part of another Paramvah production, Strawberry, too.

The actress is playing a character called Surabhi, whose portions are in the modern-day set up of the film. These are the sequences in the film for which leading man Rakshit had to put on a lot of weight and sports a weathered look with a deep gash on his face and salt-and-pepper hair and beard. Rakshit, who plays Manu in the film, has two distinct looks in the film, and the 10 years later part, which unfolds during the pandemic is when Chaitra’s character Surabhi comes into his life.

Hemanth, who had a series of workshops for lead pair Rakshit and Rukmini prior to shooting the first half of the film, will repeat the process with Chaitra as well and is hopeful of returning to the set sometime in September.

Rakshit has been on a fairly long schedule break from Sapta Sagaradaache Ello to put on the weight required for his look in the second half of the film, as well as for the promotions and release of his last film, 777 Charlie, which was a home production. In fact, during the promotions of 777 Charlie, Rakshit’s much fuller physique was on display, but the battered look that was revealed as his version from Hemanth’s film was a lot more intense. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is Hemanth’s third film only and his first since the 2019 Kavaludaari.
