Telugu comedy-drama Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, which has Kartikeya Gummakonda and Lavanya Tripathi in lead roles, is gearing up for its OTT release on April 23 23 on the regional OTT platform Aha.
The film, which also has Murali Sharma, Aamani, and Rajitha in supporting roles, released in theatres on March 19 but its big-screen run had to be cut short due to the second wave of COVID-19 that has gripped the country.
Aha announced the film’s release on its platform through its social media handles, by sharing Chaavu Kaburu Challaga’s trailer this week.
The film’s story revolves around a mortuary van driver, Basthi Balaraju (Gummakonda), who falls for a widow whose husband’s body he had carried in his ambulance. Gummakonda, who is most known for his role in RX 100, has also starred in films such as Hippi, Guna 369, and Nani's Gang Leader.
Chaavu Kaburu Challaga marked the debut directorial of Koushik Paggalapati. While it bagged mixed reviews during its theatrical run, many fans were impressed with the movie and this has many awaiting the movie’s OTT release.
Earlier this month, a few Telugu films released on OTT platforms including Naveen Polishetty’s comedy-drama Jathi Ratnalu and Vijay Sethupathi’s Uppena. Vakeel Saab and Wild Dog are expected to release on digital platforms next month.
