After facing multiple delays, the Kunchacko Boban-starrer political action thriller film Chaaver is finally gearing up for release. Directed by Tinu Pappachan, the movie also features Antony Varghese, Arjun Ashokan, Manoj KU, Sajin Gopu and Joy Mathew in key roles. The release of Chaaver was deferred several times. Initially, it was set to be released on July 20, then it was rescheduled as an Onam release. Recently again, it was announced that the film will release on September 28, along with Mammootty’s Kannur Squad. Now, it’s been confirmed that the film will hit the cinemas on October 5, with a U/A certificate. According to the director, the delays were due to the unfinished CGI works in the climax portions of the film.

What is Chaaver all about?

Going by the trailer and motion poster of the film, Chaaver is an action-packed thriller, set against a political backdrop. The plot revolves around the character played by Kunchacko, who is on the run for a crime he committed in support of his political party. The highlights of the trailer include the intense look of Kunchacko and his action scenes. According to Tinu, Chaaver is not filled with non-stop action. Instead, it maintains an action-packed atmosphere throughout.

Chaaver’s crew

Joy Mathew has written the script of the film, which is bankrolled by Arun Narayanan and Venu Kunnapilly. Jinto George is the movie’s cinematographer, while Nishadh Yusuf is in charge of editing. The music for the film is composed by Justin Varghese, who is known for his work on Joji.
