Popular comedian Vennela Kishore’s first film as a lead actor, Chaari 111, is now available to be streamed on OTT. The Telugu spy comedy that was released in theatres on March 1 is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by TG Keerthi Kumar, the movie revolves around a confused spy who has luck but no talent, has all style but no substance, and is deemed a fool. However, he is on a mission to save Hyderabad from a mysterious villain. Besides Vennale Kishore, the film also stars Samyuktha Viswanathan as the female lead.

A Johnny English-inspired spy comedy

Director Keerthi Kumar revealed that he was inspired to make a spy comedy after watching Rowan Atkinson's Johnny English. “This film is inspired by the core theme of Pink Panther and particularly the Johnny English franchise,” the director said.

Chaari 111's hilarious trailer

The trailer for Chaari 111 begins on a fun and hilarious note, in which Vennela Kishore’s character, Agent 111, is introduced. He calls himself Brahmachaari. He is given the important responsibility of dealing with an anti-national chemical weapon case. But he lands in trouble every time for turning serious situations into something hilarious.

Agent 111 is accompanied by a female agent, played by Samyuktha Viswanathan, who is tired of his buffoonery. The trailer ends with Agent 111’s hilarious narration and how everyone around him doesn’t see him as competent. Murli Sharma, Satya, Brahmaji, Rahul Ravindran, Thagubothu Ramesh and Pavani Reddy have key roles in the film.

Although the comedy flick failed to lure audiences to theatres, it is expected to reach a wider audience with its OTT release and is, therefore, expected to do better.
