Celebrity MasterChef: Usha Nadkarni says Sushant Singh Rajput was 'very shy young man' at Pavitra Rishta sets; 'He aspired to become...'

Usha Nadkarni and Sushant Singh played the roles of mother and son in the popular sitcom, Pavitra Rishta. The daily soap also featured Ankita Lokhande in the female lead.

Sushant Singh Rajput gained immense love and attention from his role in the popular Indian sitcom, Pavitra Rishta. In the daily soap, Usha Nadkarni played the role of Sushant's mother. The veteran actress has recently taken up Celebrity MasterChef, a culinary show which will air on SonyLIV soon. During one of the shoot days for the show, Usha opened up about Sushant and recalled how he used to share his dreams with her on the sets of Pavitra Rishta.

A video shared by paparazzo, Viral Bhayani showed that Usha Nadkarni was asked about Pavitra Rishta's shooting days with Sushant Singh Rajput. She said that the late actor was a shy young man when he came on the sets for the first time.

The veteran actress said, "He was a very shy young man. When he first came on the sets, he would be just seen reading books. One day I asked him what he was reading so diligently. He told me that he aspired to become a filmmaker, and wanted to study abroad. Hence, he was preparing for the same."

In Pavitra Rishta, Sushant played the role of Manav, a garage owner, who falls in love with Archana (Ankita Lokhande), a homely and hardworking girl from a middle-class family. When Archana marries Manav, their happiness is overshadowed by her family's crisis. The sitcom gained a lot of love from fans and they admired the on-screen chemistry between Ankita and Sushant.

The judging panel will feature the return of celebrated chefs Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar, who have been fan favorites in previous seasons.
