Celebrity Cricket League will kick off on February 23 in Sharjah, where all 8 teams will have at least one match each before shifting the action to India

It’s that time of the year again, when some of the most popular actors from film industries across the country congregate to play a very competitive and high-octane cricket tournament – the Celebrity Cricket League. This time too, in its 10th edition, eight teams will take the field – Telugu Warriors, Karnataka Bulldozers, Chennai Rhinos, Kerala Strikers, Mumbai Heroes, Punjab De Sher, Bengal Tigers and Bhojpuri Dabanggs. The organizers have revealed the full schedule of the tournament, which will start on February 23 in Sharjah. All 8 teams will be stationed in Sharjah between February 23 and 25, with the first five matches scheduled to be held there. Thereafter, the action shifts to India, with venues in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Thiruvananthapuram and Vishakhapatnam.

The Akhil Akkineni-led Telugu Warriors are the defending champions, having won the tournament four times so far, and will look at retaining the cup, but they will, no doubt, have tough competition from teams like the Bhojpuri Dabanggs and Karnataka Bulldozers. This time around, CCL founder Vishnu Vardhan Induri is joining forces with Vikrant Rona, Kabzaa and Jigarthanda DoubleX producer Alankar Pandian’s Invenio Origin to present the 10thedition of the tournament.
