He made his debut in 2017 with the romance drama Prematho Mee Karthik and has since acted in numerous super hit Telugu films and enjoys a solid fan base. Prematho Mee Karthik (Amazon Prime Video)

In Prematho Mee Karthik Kartikeya plays Karthik, an NRI who lacks family attachments. His father, Gopi Krishna, portrayed by Murli Sharma, runs a successful business in the United States along with Karthik. After a stroke sends him to the emergency room, Gopi returns to his hometown with his son in tow. A series of events separate the duo upon arriving at their village in India. Karthik encounters interesting people while searching for his father. He soon learns the truth behind his visit to India, and there is more than meets the eye.

RX 100 (Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video)

RX 100 is a 2018 romantic action drama featuring Kartikeya in the lead role as Shiva. What appears to be a run-of-the-mill classic love story, RX100 comprises several twists and turns and a secret antagonist that no one would have seen coming. The film was a massive success at the Tollywood box office. The film’s commercial success crystalised Kartikeya’s position as a bankable star in the Telugu film industry.

The 2019 action-drama Guna 369 is a story of a happy-go-lucky guy who is pushed to the edge when a loved one dies after being brutally raped. Kartikeya plays the titular character who abandons his happy nature in the wake of the tragic event. Consumed by rage, Guna vows revenge on the assaulters and turns himself in. Gang Leader is a 2019 action-comedy about a bank robbery. When one of the gang members double-crosses the others and kills them, the female relatives of the deceased set out to avenge their deaths. The group then approaches a small-time crime novelist, only to uncover a sinister hidden past and more murders. Kartikeya plays Dev, one of the gang robbers.

Chaavu Kaburu Challaga (Aha Video)

Chaavu Kaburu Challaga is a 2021 romantic comedy drama about Balaraju (Kartikeya), a funeral vehicle driver who lives with his mother and bed-ridden father. Balaraju falls in love with a widow whose father is in love with Balaraju’s mother. What will Balaraju do when he finds out? Will he win over his lady love or is his love story doomed to end before it starts?

Kartikeya has finally made his Tamil film debut in the action thriller Valimai which is yet to release on an OTT platform.
