The Bengal Tigers are the defending champions of CCL

Celebrity Cricket League, the annual tournament featuring film and TV celebrities from across the country, is set to return for its 11thedition. On October 23, the organizers took to social media to announce that the tournament will be back in exactly 100 days. January 31, 2025 is when the action will kick off. Schedules and final team line-ups are yet to be revealed, but this edition too will have 8 teams fighting it out for supremacy.

Last year, for only the second time since the Celebrity Cricket League was established, a team from north India took home the trophy. While the Mumbai Heroes won it once and the Bhojpuri Dabanggs came tantalisingly close, it was the underdogs Bengal Tigers that emerged victorious in 2024, beating a spirited Karnataka Bulldozers. In fact, prior to the start of the tournament, CCL founder Vishnu Induri had expressed hopes that a team from the north would win and named the Bengal Tigers as his personal favourite to win.
