Karnataka Bulldozers have a happy moment during their semi-final encounter against the Telugu Warriors

On March 2 and day 5 of the Celebrity Cricket League, the action is still in Hyderabad, with two matches starting at 2 pm and 6.30 pm, respectively. The first match of the day has the Karnataka Bulldozers in action against the Bengal Tigers, both teams having a victory against their name. The Bulldozers had beaten the Mumbai Heroes in a nail-biting match, while the Bengal Tigers got the better of the Kerala Strikers.

Two-time champions Karnataka Bulldozers, who ended their CCL campaign at Semi Final stage last year, has its sight firmly set on the cup, while tournament novices Bengal Tigers are looking at making a prominent mark in this milestone edition. The Bulldozers are likely to be crowd favourites for this match, but if the contest between the Telugu Warriors and Punjab De Sher is anything to go by, the Tigers could just spring a surprise.

This match between the Karnataka Bulldozers and the Bengal Tigers will begin at 2 pm. It remains to be seen if Kiccha Sudeep will captain the side or vice captain J Karthik, in the absence of skipper Pradeep Bogadi, who’s had a tragedy in the family, having lost his father-in-law.

The second match of the day will have the Telugu Warriors back on the field after today’s resounding victory over Punjab De Sher. This time, they take on the Kerala Strikers, who have lost both of their group stage matches and for who this is a do or die match. If the Strikers harbour any hope of remaining in the reckoning in the tournament, they will not only have to trounce the Warriors, but also while registering a phenomenal run rate.

Catch all the action of the 10thedition of the Celebrity Cricket League on JioCinema, Sony Ten 5 and Doordarshan. After the Hyderabad weekend, by the end of which all teams would have played 3 matches each, the matches shift to Chandigarh and Thiruvananthapuram, for the last set of group stage matches.
