Karnataka Bulldozers and Bhojpuri Dabanggs are seen as the favourites to head into the final tomorrow, but their opponents are capable of turning the tables - one is the defending champion, after all
Who do you think will be in the finale tomorrow?
It’s the final leg of the CCL 2023 tournament. Back after a brief hiatus, this time around, the Celebrity Cricket League had eight teams from different film industries battle it out in T20 Test style matches. Each side played four qualifiers, at the end of which the Karnataka Bulldozers and the Bhojpuri Dabanggs topped the charts with no losses. The Mumbai Heroes, with only one loss, came in third, while the Telugu Warriors, with only two wins, became the fourth team to qualify for the semi-finals in Vishakhapatnam today, on the basis of a better run rate. The Chennai Rhinos had also recorded two wins and two losses.
Today, in the first semi-final of the day, the Bhojpuri Dabanggs, who had one of the highest scoring matches to their credit, in their final league match against the Kerala Strikers, will take the field all guns blazing against Riteish Deshmukh’s Mumbai Heroes. The Dabanggs are believed to be the stronger team in this match and look like a sure-shot shoo-in into the final, but then, the Mumbai Heroes are the defending champions, so it may be a tad too early to write them off.

The second semi-final is between yet another fan favourite team, Karnataka Bulldozers and the Telugu Warriors. As far as CCL track records go, the Telugu Warriors are a step ahead, having won the tournament thrice, while their opponents, the Bulldozers, took the cup home twice. However, in the eight seasons of the tournament so far, the Bulldozers have been in the final six times, which is a better record than that of the Warriors.
