Unlike all the other venues that got two-days of stars and cricket, Bengaluru gets only two matches.

The third weekend of the Celebrity Cricket League 2023 kicks off in namma Bengaluru tomorrow. This time, though, tournament organizers have a split schedule, with two matches in the ooru, and two more, on March 5 in Thiruvananthapuram. No other venue has such an itinerary, with film and cricket aficionados treated to two consecutive days of stars and four T-20 matches.
In Bengaluru, the first match of the day at the Chinnaswamy Stadium will be between the Telugu Warriors and Punjab De Sher. The second match, which is scheduled to begin at 7 pm, has the Karnataka Bulldozers take on the Chennai Rhinos. After two consecutive wins, the Bulldozers are at number 2 on the points table at the moment and will look at retaining or bettering that. Although they are tied with the Telugu Warriors at 4 points each, the Akhil Akkineni-led team has the better net run rate at the moment. Sonu Sood’s Punjab De Sher, on the other hand, have lost both their matches so far, and need to win the next two to stay in contention in the tournament.
At the moment, the Chennai Rhinos appear to be the fourth team likely to make it to the semi-finals in Hyderabad (Bhojpuri Dabanggs also have four points with two wins), but all that can change if the Bulldozers beat the Rhinos and the Mumbai Heroes lose to the Kerala Strikers.
On March 5, it’s Bengal Tigers vs the Bhojpuri Dabanggs and then the Kerala Strikers against the Mumbai Heroes. In the last leg of the league qualifiers, Jodhpur will host all eight teams.
The broadcasting partner of the tournament is Zee Network, which is transmitting it to nine different channels. The OTT partner is Zee5, while live telecast is also available on the official YouTube page of CCL.
