The upcoming fifth instalment in the CBI film franchise will also see Mukesh and Jagathy Sreekumar reprise their roles from the earlier films.
After more than a decade, Mammootty is set to return as one of the sharpest minds in the CBI - Sethurama Iyer. As promised, the makers of CBI 5 – The Brain have unveiled the trailer of the highly awaited film, and it gives viewers a glimpse into what the iconic detective does best - catching bad guys and looking good doing it.
The trailer shows the police having to deal with a puzzling murder, which leaves them with an array of questions. As they try to make head and tail of the case, Sethurama Iyer makes his entry with his words of wisdom and his trademark charm. The trailer ends with the words, “I am damn sure that he is the murderer,” and it seems that the long gap has not dulled Sethurama Iyer’s sharp intellect in the slightest. The trailer also gives a glimpse of Jagathy Sreekumar. The actor, who reprises his role as Vikram from the previous films, makes his first on-screen appearance in almost a decade, after an accident left him paralysed.
