A ‘maduve mane’ song is quite the routine in Kannada films, and provides meeting ground for the hero and heroine, where love blossoms at first sight, or sees them bust a few moves for the couple that’s getting married. Earlier today, filmmaker-actor Prem released a new song from his upcoming release, the romantic action drama, Ek Love Ya . Called Edebaditha Joragide, the song features debutant Raana along with Reeshma Nanaiah at a maduve mane.

Composed by Arjun Janya, Edebaditha Joragide has been sung by Prem himself, along with Anuradha Bhat, and choreographed by Nagesh V. The songs from the film that have been released so far, like the Armaan Malik number Yaare Yaare, Yennegu Hennigu and Meet Madana Illa Date Madana have all been making waves on the charts and Edebaditha Joragide is expected to join this list.

Ek Love Ya is Prem’s directorial after the 2018 Shivarajkumar and Sudeep-starrer The Villain. The film introduces Raana to Kannada film audiences. Raana is Prem’s wife and former actress Rakshitha’s brother and gets two heroines in the film, namely Rachita Ram and Reeshma Nanaiah.

Ek Love Ya, which is being produced by Rakshitha, was supposed to be a January 21, release, but had to be pushed ahead owing to the uncertainty caused by the third wave of the pandemic, as well as the fact that there were curfews and theatres were operational only at 50%. Subsequently, when relaxations came in force, Prem announced that the film would release on February 24, a weekend that was earlier held by Kiccha Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona.

As of now, Ek Love Ya will face director MG Srinivas’ Old Monk at the box office. It was earlier meant to be a three-way battle, with Bytwo Love also in the fray, but then director Hari Santhosh advanced his film by a week to February 18.
