His repertoire of Hindi films include Shamitabh, Raanjhana and Atrangi Re, out of which the Raanjhana and Atrangi are directed by Rai. Shamitabh, on the other hand, was directed by R Balki. The film had Dhanush share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.

After the look test, the actor is back in Tamil Nadu and was recently spotted jogging with his mask on. The actor also waved at his fans on the road. The shoot for Captain Miller is currently ongoing in Madurai.

The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran is currently set in the pre-independence era and Dhanush will be sporting a retro look for the film. The film's producer TG Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films, had recently stated at an event that they believed that since the plot involved the British, they could take it to wider canvas, and also cash in on the popularity of Dhanush, who has now taken his plunge in Hollywood as well with The Grey Man. And hence, they decided to make it a pan-Indian project and dub the film in many languages.

Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni and editing by Nagooran Ramachandran.
