Captain Miller: Dhanush announces countdown for the film's first look and fans can't keep calm

The period drama, helmed by Arun Matheswaran, has Priyanka Mohan as the leading lady

It's official! The first-look poster of Dhanush's film is all set to be out soon. Dhanush himself made the announcement on his social media handle and stated that the countdown has begun. Fans are now super excited after hearing the news. The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran, will have Dhanush in a rustic avatar. His long beard and look has already set the internet on fire.

One of the cast members Arunodhayan had recently stated in an interview that Dhanush will show extreme human emotions in the film. He added that Dhanush had saved his energy for the best and that one can feel the intensity in every frame. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call Captain Miller one of the most hyped films of Dhanush in recent times.

The film's star cast includes Priyanka Mohan, Sundeep Kishan, Shiva Rajkumar, John Kokken, Edward Sonnenblick, Nivedhitha Sathish, Vinoth Kishan, Nassar, Daniel Balaji, Elango Kumaravel, Viji Chandrasekar and Bala Saravanan to name a few.

The shoot for the film is currently underway in Tenkasi and some portions have been shot in Chennai and Tirunelveli as well. Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Siddharth Nuni and editing by Nagooran Ramachandran.

Captain Miller is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films. In a recent summit, the film's producer TG Thyagarajan revealed why he decided to take the pan-Indian route. "When Arun Matheswaran narrated the script of Captain Miller, we thought this film could be made on a very big budget. And since the budget was big, we decided to make it pan-Indian. We thought Dhanush would be ideal for the script."


Arun Matheswaran had earlier directed Selvaraghavan and Keerthy Suresh's Saani Kaayidham. The film, which had a direct release on Amazon Prime Video, opened to positive reviews from the audience.
