Captain India is produced by RSVP and Baweja Studios.
Kartik Aaryan has announced his forthcoming project titled Captain India. With this film, the actor will be collaborating with Hansal Mehta for the first time. In the film, Kartik will be seen playing the role of a pilot and he is donning the uniform in the first look. The actor has covered his face slightly and sporting an intense look in the poster.
While sharing the poster, the actor captioned it as "When a man goes beyond the call of duty. With great pride and honour, we bring to you #CaptainIndia @hansalmehta sir @rsvpmovies @bawejastudios #RonnieScrewvala #HarmanBaweja @soniyeah22 @vicky_bahri @sanchit421 @iampriyadarshee @karanvyas11."
The film is based on one of India's biggest airline rescue operations and an excited Kartik said in a statement, "Captain India is inspiring and thrilling in equal measure and it gives me great pride and honour to be a part of such a historic chapter of our country."
On working with Hansal, the actor says that he has immense respect for the filmmaker's body of work and calls Captain India a perfect opportunity to collaborate with him.
While Mehta said, "Captain India which is inspired by true events will revisit a moment in time where a man goes beyond his own pain and suffering to save thousands."
Captain India is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies and Harman Baweja's Baweja Studios.
Meanwhile, Kartik has a series of films in his kitty which include Netflix original flick Dhamaka directed by Ram Madhvani which is slated to release later this year. The actor also has Bhool Bhulaiyya 2 co-starring Kiara Advani and the film is directed by Anees Bazmee.
