Veteran actor Soni Razdan has turned in for an eventful second inning with many projects in her kitty. In the last three years, she has been part of many projects such as the Disney+Hotstar series Out of Love and The Verdict - State vs Nanavati.
And now, she will be seen in Shaad Ali’s Call my Agent: Bollywood. The show hits home to the culture of talent management companies in the Hindi Film Industry and their work dynamic in managing the profiles of actors. Talent managers and agents are also to be wary of not ruffling the feathers of the actors. The plot of Call My Agent: Bollywood which is an adaptation of the French series Call My Agent!, revolves around four talent agents and the trials and trifles they face in running their talent management companies.

The Raazi actor feels that getting the right work opportunity for senior actors is a “two-way process.” The casting requirement needs to arise and then the casting agents have to decide the casting for certain projects before contacting the concerned actor. “Opportunity for an actor happens when a character is written for us, a story is made in the form of film, web series, or any format,” she added while speaking to Mid Day. She summed up the right opportunity as the perfect balance as not just about her being cast in a project but finding the right script, and the proper platform to showcase the story.

The actor also mentioned that while the casting agents have done her casting in recent projects, the first consideration for being cast in a project is the script. The system of a casting agent and talent management company has put things in an organised way, as per her.
The show Call My Agent: Bollywood will premiere on Netflix on October 29.
