After announcing what will be his most extensive world tour to date, Vir Das will soon be seen in the forthcoming Prime Video series, Call Me Bae produced by Dharma Productions' digital branch, Dharmatics. The slice-of-life series' shoot has been taking place for quite some time and features Ananya Panday in the leading role. Call Me Bae tells the story of a billionaire fashionista whose rich family disowns her after she gets into trouble for inappropriate behaviour. The series also features Gurfateh Pirzada in a pivotal role.
Meanwhile, Vir returns to a performing role after a long time, as he has been busy with his tours and also completing his international projects. The actor was last seen in the OTT series space in Netflix's Hasmukh, in which he played the leading role and was also the writer of the series.
Talking about Call Me Bae the production of the series has already been wrapped up, and it is anticipated that the show will become available to stream by the end of this year. Ishita Moitra is the mind behind the creation of the series; Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair are responsible for the writing, while Collin D'Cunha is in charge of directing the show.
