After a long break, the shooting of the magnum opus is expected to resume in December,
Trisha and Kajal
The shooting of Shankar's Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, was brought to a halt owing to the rift between the filmmaker and production house Lyca Productions. However, the issue was sorted recently after Kamal intervened, and according to the grapevine, the project is all set to go on floors again this December.
Earlier, the movie was in the news when three crew members passed away when a crane crashed and fell on them. Later, the team handed over a cheque of one crore each to the relatives of the victims, who lost their lives in the mishap last year.
The big budget project is now in the news again, this time for another reason, which many wouldn't have anticipated. It is heard that Trisha might replace Kajal Aggarwal, who was initially roped in as the female lead. Apparently, we hear the latter is keen on starting a family, because of which she might not be able to allot dates for the schedules which will commence in December.
If this turns out to be true Indian 2 will be the first movie of Trisha under the direction of Shankar. She had teamed up with Kamal Haasan earlier, though, in Manmadhan Ambu and Thoongavanam.
Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Aishwarya Rajesh and Priya Bhavani Shankar among others have also got pivotal roles in the movie, which was supposed to be wrapped up first before the director moved on to RC 15. However, the differences in opinion between Shankar and Lyca Productions spoiled the plan.
Meanwhile, the team of RC 15 had recently announced that they had completed a major schedule in Pune.
