The upcoming film, touted to be a social comedy, will reportedly also feature Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
After taking a break from the big screen, Shah Rukh Khan seems to be back at it in full swing. The star is currently keeping on his toes, with a few projects in his kitty awaiting release. And now Khan is gearing up for his next project helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, which went on floors on Friday.
There had been multiple reports stating that the project is scheduled to start production this week, and according to a report in Mid-Day, the makers had started filming for the same at Mumbai’s Film City yesterday. A source told the portal that Hirani had planned to shoot some scenes involving Taapsee Pannu first, as Khan was busy shooting for his film with Atlee. But Khan had arrived on sets yesterday at about 4 PM yesterday and would start shooting from today onwards.
The crew had reportedly built a set of a Punjab village for the Hirani directorial, where shooting would take place for about two weeks. The source also revealed that after shooting across locations in Mumbai, the crew would move on to locations in Budapest and London.
Hirani’s upcoming film is touted to be a social comedy based on themes of immigration. The film will also reportedly feature Vicky Kaushal. The filmmaker's last directorial was Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju(2018).
Meanwhile, Khan is also juggling shooting for Atlee’s upcoming project as well. Although most details regarding the film are being kept under close wraps, it is reportedly titled Lion and features Nayanthara as the female lead.
Khan is also awaiting the release of his film Pathaan. The film, written and directed by Siddharth Anand, will be the actor’s first release in almost four years, after his last film Zero(2018). Pathan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is slated for release on January 25, 2023. SRK will also make an appearance in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3.
