Buzz: Mehreen Pirzada to be a part of Thalapathy 66; Lokesh Kanagaraj to helm Thalapathy 67

Vijay's Beast is expected to hit the screens in multiple languages on April 13

The speculation with regard to Vijay's upcoming projects continues even as makers of his next project, Beast, are yet to announce its theatrical release date. It is said that the action flick is likely to hit the screens on April 13, a day before pan Indian film KGF 2 arrives across the country.

Meanwhile, it is heard that Thalapathy 66 (tentative title of the star's next movie) will begin in the beginning of April and Rashmika Mandanna's name has been doing the rounds in connection with the female lead character of the project. Vamshi Paidipally is directing the bilingual film which will have music composed by Thaman and will be produced by Tollywood producer Dil Raju.

Now, the grapevine has it that Tollywood actress Mehreen Pirzada might play an important character in the film. She had made her Kollywood debut earlier with Dhanush's Pattas (streaming on Amazon Prime Video). Fans of Vijay are eagerly waiting for an announcement on the movie's title and female lead.

Earlier, there have been reports of Nani, too, essaying a significant role in Thalapathy 66. Movie lovers expect that a clarity on all this unconfirmed news will be made in a month's time.

Interestingly, another news doing the rounds is with regard to Vijay's project after Vamshi's film, tentatively called as Thalapathy 67. Lokesh Kanagaraj, with whom Vijay joined hands for Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), is said to be helming the project. The filmmaker is currently busy with the post-production works of Vikram which is slated for a release on June 3.

The names of filmmakers like Atlee and AR Murugadoss, with whom Vijay teamed up earlier thrice for notable movies, are also doing the rounds.
