The actor's currently busy with H Vinoth, Boney Kapoor's AK 61 ,
Ajith and Sri Ganesh
Ajith has been busy with H Vinoth's heist thriller AK 61 (tentative) for a while. The movie bankrolled by Boney Kapoor is expected to hit the screens in December. The makers are yet to come up with an official update on its title and release date though.
Except for a few actors like Manju Warrier, Kavin and Veera who have come on board and technicians like Nirav Shah and Ghibran who are cranking the camera and composing music respectively for the film, the team has been tight-lipped about its other cast and crew. Though AK 61 was initially announced as a Deepavali release, it looks like they aren't going to make it because of reasons best known to them.
It was announced a few months ago that Vignesh Shivan will be helming Ajith's next, which has been tentatively titled AK 62. Lyca Productions is producing the movie which has Anirudh on board to compose music. The film marks Anirudh's third project with Ajith after Vedalam and Vivegam.
There were reports of Sudha Kongara directing Ajith for the latter's project after AK 62. But film buffs have been wondering about its possibility as the director already has a few projects in her kitty.
The latest news doing the rounds is that Sri Ganesh of 8 Thottakkal fame will direct the star for AK 63. The filmmaker's delayed project Kuruthi Aattam, starring Atharvaa in the lead, released yesterday in theatres.
A video of Sri Ganesh spilling the beans on the project has gone viral on social media. He has neither confirmed nor denied the news of him helming AK 63. All he has said is that an official update will be unveiled at the appropriate time, hinting at a potential collaboration.
