Kapoor had wrapped up filming on the upcoming, yet to be titled movie this month
Ali Abbas Zafar had recently wrapped up filming for his recent project with Shahid Kapoor. The makers have been keeping many crucial details about the project under close wraps for a while now. But recently it has been reported that Diana Penty is paired opposite Kapoor in the action entertainer.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the actress essays a ‘strong’ role in the upcoming movie, and had been excited to be a part of the same. They had completed filming for the project and the film was currently in its post production phase.
Almost a week ago, Zabbar had made a post announcing that filming on his upcoming project was wrapped up. The post featured a photograph of a car mid air, and in the caption the filmmaker talked of his love for making action films.
On the occasion of Zabbar’s birthday in January this year, Kapoor had posted a photograph from the sets of the film. The director had shared the post and said "Thank you Shahid Kapoor. Look out kar diya... #WellDone." This led to speculation that the actor had unveiled his first look from the upcoming film.
The upcoming film is reportedly the Hindi remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche. The film had also been remade in Tamil and Telugu, as Thoongaa Vanam and Cheekati Rajyam respectively. Zabbar’s directorial has reportedly been given the tentative title Bloody Daddy.
Meanwhile Penty, who was recently seen sharing the screen with Dulquer Salmaan in Salute, is currently working on Selfiee. In the latter, she will star alongside Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Selfie, helmed by Raj Mehta, is the remake of the Malayalam film Driving Licence.
