Written and directed by Satish Babu Ghanta, the film also stars Nihal Kodhaty, Rao Ramesh and Bhumika Chawla
After beginning her career with Nivin Pauly's Malayalam film Premam and making her mark in Telugu cinema, spreading her wings in Kannada and Tamil industries later, there's another first in Anupama Parameswaran's impressive filmography in the form of Butterfly. The thriller, written and directed by first-time filmmaker Satish Babu Ghanta, is her first direct-to-OTT release (film) in Telugu and one that shall release in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages as well.
Butterfly is all set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar later tonight in four languages. This is the just the finish that Anupama could've asked for the year, especially after raising several eyebrows with her glam avatar in Rowdy Boys, packing a punch with Karthikeya 2 and reasserting her capabilities in the romance drama 18 Pages. The film totally runs on her shoulders and presents an opportunity to showcase her potential to the fullest.
The film revolves around a bunch of kids, whose life is in danger and how Anupama goes out of the way to protect them. Butterfly's director Satish Babu also worked on the direction department of Anupama's Shatamanam Bhavati while the cinematographer Sameer Reddy was part of the former and Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi as well. She has also crooned for a catchy number titled All the Ladies. Arvis, also a newcomer, is the composer of the album (songs).
Nihal Kodhaty, an upcoming actor is paired alongside Anupama while Bhumika Chawla, Rao Ramesh and Praveen too play important roles in the thriller. Dakshin Srinivas, who previously directed Aa Okkade, starring Ajay and Madhumitha Banerjee, is the dialogue writer. Anupama is next awaiting the release of the Tamil film Siren, Mareechika, directed by national award-winning filmmaker Satish Kasetty, and Eagle alongside Ravi Teja.
