Bull: Shahid Kapoor signs his next film post Jersey, to play a paratrooper

The actor to play the role of Brigadier Farukh Bulsara.

After Jersey Shahid Kapoor has signed his next and will be starring in a film titled Bull. In the movie, directed by debutant Aditya Nimbalkar, the actor will be playing the role of a paratrooper based on the life and times of Brigadier Farukh Bulsara. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Amar Butala and Garima Mehta. Bull is set to go on floors in 2022 with principal photography.

Talking about the film, Shahid said in a statement, "BULL is a full-blown action film inspired by real events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara. It is a privilege to play a paratrooper who leads his boys through a historic and selfless mission that has now become iconic for its precision and bravado. The opportunity to play a paratrooper is exhilarating and truly an honour."

Even Bhushan, Amar and Garima shared their excitement on this epic collaboration.

The story and the screenplay of Bull are by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh.

Meanwhile, talking about Shahid's upcoming film, the actor is gearing up for the release of Jersey. The film has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and now will finally hit the screens on December 31, 2021.

Jersey is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name and is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film based on cricket also features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and Pankaj Kapur as Shahid's coach.

On the other hand, Shahid is also set to make his digital debut with an Amazon Prime Video series created by Raj & DK. The shoot of the web series has been taking place in full swing. Along with Shahid, the much-awaited OTT series also features Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna in the lead roles. The film is likely to stream in the coming year.
