Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V, is venturing into a fresh musical chapter with his first collaboration alongside American singer and songwriter UMI.
While fulfilling his military service in South Korea, BTS' V continues to bring joy to his fanbase, known as the ARMY. As fellow members of the boy band fulfil their mandatory military duties, they are also releasing songs to uplift the spirits of their devoted fans.
Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V, is venturing into a fresh musical chapter with his first collaboration alongside American singer and songwriter UMI. Their joint effort, a song titled "Wherever U R," is slated for release on V's birthday, which falls on December 30.

The official announcement of this collaboration was made by V's agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, on December 26. Fans can anticipate the track's debut just ahead of the idol's birthday celebration on December 30.
Despite V being unable to participate in promotional activities, the American singer has taken charge and recently unveiled the full lyrics for the song.
Previously, the artist shared several audio previews of the Neo-soul genre single on social media platforms, generating excitement among fans. This duet serves as one of the special gifts prepared for the ARMY while V is temporarily away from the music scene during his mandatory military service.
On December 28, just one day before the single's release, UMI shared the complete lyrics in English, Korean, and Japanese.
This revelation left the ARMY thrilled, anticipating V's performance in all three languages and looking forward to the joy it will bring to his fans.
As for the track, it is scheduled for release on December 29, 2023, at 9 PM (PST) and on December 30, 2023, at 2 PM (KST).

About BTS' Enlistment:
Regarding BTS' enlistment, members Jin, J-Hope, and Suga are currently serving in the military with the eldest member to be released in 2024. The remaining members, Jungkook, V, Jimin, and RM, have initiated the enlistment procedure. With all members expected to complete their enlistment by the end of the year, the group is set to reunite in 2025.
