The show's final season will premiere on August 12 on NBC,
After eight years, seven heists, 32 sex-tape titles, 4,279 cools and two network changes, the hit comedy sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is gearing up for its final season. The studio released the trailer offering glimpses from the upcoming instalment, which will premiere on NBC on August 12.
The video, filled with fun moments that we have come to love from the characters of the police procedural sitcom, also had the cast opening up about their experience working on the show and what to expect from the final season.
In the trailer, actress Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago in the show, said, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine changed my life… We are going out with a bang and a little bit of a mic drop.” There was also an interaction between Amy and Dirk Blocker’s Michael Hitchcock, who takes credit for masterminding an entire plan only for the former to correct him by saying that he had just “one small thing and I had to explain it to you like 45 times”.
The final season also promises some epic moments between Andy Samberg’s Jake Peralta and Terry Crews’ Terry Jeffords as well as Andre Braugher’s Captain Raymond Holt. Long-time fans will rejoice how far Jake and Captain have come, with the duo sharing a camaraderie that we wish we did with our bosses.
Terry also says that “it’s been an incredible ride” and as fans, we couldn’t agree more. August 12 cannot come sooner.
