The eight season of NBC’s fan-favourite show Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be released on August 12. The widely-loved comedy series will be coming to an end with the eight season. The first two episodes of season 8 of the show will be aired on NBC for the US audience.

Season 8 will premiere on NBC on August 12 at 8 PM Eastern Time and new episodes will air at the same time every Thursday. Two new episodes will be available every week, and the season will have a total of 10 episodes that will also stream on NBC’s OTT platform, Peacock.

Netflix has not made an official announcement about the release of season eight yet. The final season of the show is expected to release around March 2022 on Netflix internationally.

Created by Michael Schur and Dan Goor, the show originally started with Fox in 2013 and the network decided to cancel the show after five seasons. NBC almost immediately decided to take over the show after the uproar and campaigns on social media.

The show features Andy Samberg as Jake Peralta, Joe Lo Trugilo as Charles Boyle, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Andre Braugher as Raymond Holt, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz and Terry Crews as Terry Jeffords as show regulars.The final season will see all the characters including Chelsea Peretti’s Gina Linetti, Jason Matnzoukas’ Adrian Pimento and Craig Robinson’s Doug Judy return.

As the beloved cops get ready for one last ride, the show will pick up from where it left off with season 7. The first seven seasons of the show are available to stream on Netflix.
