BRO is Pawan Kalyan's latest film which also stars Sai Dharam Tej in the lead role. Directed by Samuthirakani, the film is the official remake of the hit Tamil film Vinodhaya Sitham. BRO was released on July 28, 2023, across the globe on a record number of screens.
Pawan Kalyan fans are super thrilled that they got to see their star hero in a very mature and entertaining role in the film after a long gap. The box office numbers are out and the family drama has made Rs 27 crores gross on day one worldwide. These are impressive collections considering the fact that there was not much buzz for the film as Pawan Kalyan was playing only the guest role.
One of the team members of the unit says that the collections would have been even better as the film made only Rs 13 crores in Nizam thanks to the constant rains in Telangana. If there would have been no rain, the collections would have been even better.
BRO started on a strong note on the second day as well. The occupancy of the film is over 80% in all its areas of release. The afternoon shows in most of the areas in Telugu states have been sold out. The weekend collections will be key as the theatrical rights of the film have been sold for a whopping Rs 90 crores. So, the film has to make over Rs 50 crores in its first weekend to achieve its target.
BRO has made Rs 14 crores in the Andhra region and is doing well in the Godavari region where Pawan Kalyan has a strong base. Only time will tell as to how much will the film make in the days to come. Sai Dharam Tej has been trolled for looking dull in the film.
Director Smuthirakani has been praised for showcasing Pawan Kalyan in a solid manner. . For now, the makers are in plan to hold some post-release promotions to keep the film in the news. Watch this space for more detailed collections of BRO.
