Britney Spears has declared Taylor Swift to be the "most iconic pop woman" of her generation. She recalled an incident from her 2003 tour, when she had luckily sampled the budding star's musical magic
As a shower of love and goodwill, Britney Spears has penned a post on her Instagram handle, recalling the first time she had met a teenage Taylor Swift and heard her voice. Even back in 2003, a blossoming Swift impressed the Toxic singer with her musical skills.
Spears reminisced, “This is way back when but kinda cool... During my Oops Tour, I got a knock on my door. My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, “I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.” I was like of course!!!”
“He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar. I was like wow wow she’s unbelievable!!!” she continued, “We took a picture and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation. Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day. She’s stunning!!! Girl crush.”
Britney Spears’ post has tailed Taylor Swift’s first Eras Tour international performance at Argentina on November 9, bringing nothing but good vibes and positivity for the record-breaking songstress. Reflecting on the initial level of massive talent in a 14-year-old singer cum songwriter, Spears could not help but call Swift the generous libel.
Britney’s post also ended with a message for her mother, which could be a response to the latter, regarding the various allegations against family members mentioned in Spears’ memoir The Woman In Me, like throwing away her collection of dolls and diaries.
