Bridgerton Season 4: 'Newest member' Yerin Ha joins the cast as Sophie; excited fans say 'Best announcement ever'

Netflix shared a video on their Instagram handle to introduce actress Yerin Ha as she joins the cast of the upcoming Bridgerton Season 4. The release date has not yet been announced.

After Bridgerton season 3, there was a buzz about the next story, and once it was confirmed that Benedict (Luke Thompson)'s love story would be explored next, all eyes were on who would play his love interest, Sophie Beckett. Earlier reports suggested Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha. Now, Netflix confirmed the news as they made an official announcement by giving a peek into Yerin as Sophie in Season 4.

On September 11, Netflix US took to their Instagram handle and announced the inclusion of Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha as Sophie in the upcoming Bridgerton Season 4. The fourth season of the show will revolve around the love story of Benedict (Luke Thompson), in keeping with the series’ lead character swap for each season.

Sharing the announcement, the streaming platform captioned, "omg the newest member of the ton... yerin ha as sophie in BRIDGERTON SEASON 4!!!!"

As per Netflix, Sophie Baek has been forced to spend much of her life working as a maid for the most demanding employer in the ton. They also shared, "But the resourceful Sophie always finds a way to persevere through her circumstances — which will drastically change after she disguises herself to attend Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball and meets Benedict Bridgerton.”

Reacting to the video announcement, fans expressed their excitement. One wrote, "I love her already." Another commented, "Sophie Baek is absolutely STUNNING AND SHES HERE!!" A third fan shared, "Yerin we are so excited to have you as our Sophie!!! ( Lowkey the best book in the series!!!) So excited for you!" A fourth user called it 'Best announcement ever.'

Meanwhile, Bridgerton Season 4 release date has not yet been announced, but Brownell previously told TheWrap that while they’re working as quickly as they can, it’s unlikely the show will be on a yearly release cadence.
