The series was directed by Mayank Sharma.
Abhishek Bachchan is all set to make a blazing return to the silver screen as J/Avinash in the upcoming second season of Breathe: Into the Shadows. The first season of the show ended on a thrilling note indeed, and the show’s director Mayank Sharma recently revealed that he had always intended the show to stretch on for more than one season.
The director opened up about how the thriller series was always intended to be a two season show. On the shocking cliffhanger of the last season, the director said that it was well thought out, as the makers had a clear idea about which route to take with the show’s story.
He said that one of the biggest challenges they faced while working on season 2 was thinking up of ways to keep the audience engaged, since Avinash’s secret was already out. “The C-16 part I really enjoyed exploring into the next season and I hope you all will enjoy the big reveal…If it happens”, added the director.
Talking about the new season, Sharma revealed that the new season would take place 3 years after the events of the first one and the approach and execution of season 2 was very different from season 1. The director spoke of how they had tried really hard to create curiosity among audiences, even though the characters were already well established.
The new season of the show will see Naveen Kasturia play a new character called Victor. Sharma teased that the new character would add a lot of curiosity and new dynamics that they had not explored before. “We had thought we would unleash a few layers in the first season, and rest we would explore as we go ahead”, added Sharma.
Breathe: Into The Shadows season 2 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 9 onwards.
