Bramayugam, a highly anticipated horror film, marks the first onscreen collaboration between Mammootty and young filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan, who is best known for Bhoothakaalam.
Mammootty, the megastar of Malayalam cinema, is set to marvel cinema lovers with yet another experimental film, Bramayugam. The highly anticipated project, which is touted to be a horror thriller is helmed by Bhoothakaalam fame director Rahul Sadasivan. The movie, which is now garnering the attention of film fans with its promising teaser and soundtrack, is reportedly being released in black-and-white format. As per the latest updates, Bramayugam has now finally got a release date.
Mammootty, the leading man, took to his official social media handles and announced the release date of his ambitious project, along with a brand-new poster. Bramayugam, which marks the veteran actor’s first collaboration with director Rahul Sadasivan, is slated to release on February 15, 2024. As reported earlier, the horror thriller is set to get a pan-India release in five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Ahead of the release, the makers are planning to release the much-awaited Bramayugam trailer soon.
Meanwhile, the recently released Bramayugam soundtrack and an official poster have dropped exciting updates on Mammootty’s character in the film. The highly promising original soundtrack of the film consists of a special number titled ‘Kunjamon Potti’ theme. From the title of the song, it is safe to assume that leading man Mammootty is playing the character Kunjamon Potti, in the film. The eerie theme music, composed by Christo Xavier, suggests that the megastar’s character in the film has negative shades.
Meanwhile, a recently released poster of Bramayugam, which features a shot of the veteran actor who is seen performing a ritual in front of an unconventionally-looking idol of an unknown deity, has dropped major hints about his character. As the initial reports suggested, Mammootty is indeed playing a black magician (Durmanthravadi) in the highly anticipated film. However, none of these reports have been officially confirmed by the makers of the film yet.
