Mammootty is joining hands with director Rahul Sadasivan for his next outing, Bramayugam. The megastar is appearing in the role of Kunjamon Potti in the horror thriller.
Bramayugam, the highly anticipated horror thriller that stars Mammootty in the lead roles, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on February 15, 2024. The movie, which is helmed by the talented filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan, has already garnered the attention of audiences with its promising teaser, which was released in black-and-white format. Now, it has been confirmed that Bramayugam is an out-and-out experimental project that is set in a different timeline.
The makers of the Mammootty starrer are gearing up to release the highly anticipated official trailer of the movie, tonight. Meanwhile, sources close to Bramayugam have now confirmed that the movie will have special fan shows across Kerala on its release day, starting at 7 AM.
As per the recent updates, it has been confirmed that the fans' show of the Mammootty starrer will begin at 9.30 AM, on Thursday, February 15. If the Rahul Sadasivan directorial opens to positive reviews, the movie is also confirmed to have yet another set of special shows at night across the state. The project is also set to have a fans' show in overseas centers, including the UK, at 8 PM on the same day.

The recent updates have also confirmed that the highly anticipated project is set to have a massive release in Kerala, outside India, and overseas. Interestingly, Bramayugam might also emerge as its leading man Mammootty’s all-time biggest overseas release to date, considering the widening theatre list. The Rahul Sadasivan directorial has been distributed by Truth Global Media overseas, while Anto Joseph’s Ann Mega Media handles the domestic distribution.
All about Bramayugam
As reported earlier, Mammootty is set to play the role of Kunjamon Potti, a mysterious old man from an aristocratic family, in Bramayugam. The megastar’s character in the Rahul Sadasivan directorial reportedly has negative shades. Arjun Ashokan, on the other hand, plays the role of a young folklore singer named Thevan, who belongs to the Paanan caste. The movie reportedly depicts the story of Thevan, who gets trapped inside Kunjamon Potti’s old, crumbling mansion.
Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan Achari essay the other pivotal roles in Bramayugam. Christo Xavier composes the songs and the original score. Shehnad Jalal, ISC, is the director of photography. Shafique Mohamed Ali handles the editing. The horror thriller, which is produced by Night Shift Studios and Y Not Studios, is set to have a pan-Indian release in five languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
