It's official! Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who star together in Brahmastra, are tying the knot soon. The upcoming film’s director Ayan Mukerji had a pleasant surprise in store when he gave his best wishes to the couple on their pending nuptials by releasing a glimpse from the film. The glimpse included snippets of a song from the film’s soundtrack titled ‘Kesariya’ which sees them celebrating their love.
Unsurprisingly, Mukerji’s announcements won him the hearts of many fans who took to Twitter to make their opinions known.
Fans were full of gratitude to the director for his special announcement, and many gushed over the sweet note the director penned in his post when he released the glimpse. One user remarked that they were grateful to Mukerji for bringing the couple together and making the ‘fairy tale possible’.
Many were thrilled at the couple’s union and were even seen becoming emotional at the thought of it. ‘Protect their happiness at all costs’ wrote one user, while another said that their heart was ‘full’ at seeing Kapoor and Bhatt’s union being celebrated like this.
Users also could not get over how ‘beautiful’ the glimpse looked and they could not stop watching it. They even picked out some of the scenes they loved.
Some also became excited for the release of the full Kesariya track. Another got emotional and wrote ‘I WILL CRY’.
Karan Johar, whose home banner Dharma Productions bankrolls the film, also gave the couple his best wishes after sharing the glimpse. Talking about how much ‘light’ the couple bring into each others’ lives, he wished them the best on their ‘new beginnings’.
Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan,Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia, will be released in theatres on September 9. Shah Rukh Khan will also make a special appearance in the film.
