After Ranlia, DeepVeer might just join Ayan Mukerji's Astraverse.
Brahmastra has now become synonymous with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt but there might be a new addition to the cast in the sequel. While the viewers keep waiting for Brahmastra Part One: Shiva to release, there’s another news about Brahmastra Part Two. It now appears that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh would join the cast for the second installment in Ayan Mukerji’s Astraverse.
Deepika and Ranveer are yet to be seen together as a romantic pair in the leads since Bajirao Mastani (2015). That might just happen if Brahmastra Part Two finalizes.
Cheer up DeepVeer fans, since a source has confirmed to Bollywood Hungama that Ranveer and Deepika are indeed being considered for the second part. Want to know the double surprise? Ranbir and Alia will also be reprising their roles from the first part, this little birdie reveals.
This person compared Ayan’s Astraverse to Marvel films and said that the director is going to add a surprise in the last scene. Another director who has started doing that is Rohit Shetty. He had revealed about Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi being a part of his cop universe in the last scene of Ranveer Singh’s Simmba. Here though, it appears that both the actor and the actress will be a part of the new story. “Their stories will run parallelly,” the source shared.
While Ayan has directed Deepika previously in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, it might just be his first time working with Ranveer. Knowing how the actor has become producer Karan Johar’s current favourite, Deepika and Ranveer being the latest addition to Brahmastra wouldn’t be a surprise.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva will release in theatres on September 9. The film has been in the making for a long time and could not release because of COVID-19 but it is finally complete and up for release soon.
The first installment also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia are among the other actors. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan also has a cameo appearance in Ayan’s film.
