Brahmastra: Is Deepika Padukone playing Jal Devi in Ranbir Kapoor's film? Fans spot actor in the 4k trailer

Directed by Ayan Mukherji, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.

After a long wait, the fans were in for a visual delight. They finally got to witness a glimpse of the much-talked film, Brahmastra. The makers had recently released the trailer of the film, directed by Ayan Mukerji. They shared the trailer again in 4k on Sunday and eagle-eyed fans are now speculating that the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's film also features Deepika Padukone.

Fans have been sharing a screenshot of a scene from the trailer of 'jal' character on social media, claiming that the actor playing the role is Deepika Padukone. In the trailer, a woman in a red saree and blouse with anklets on her feet is seen approaching towards the camera with huge waves of water behind her. But the long shot in the trailer does not clearly show the actor playing the role.

Sharing pictures of the character, a fan tweeted, "Jal (water) character from #Brahmastra seems to look like Deepika Padukone (blue energy coming out from her hand). While 2nd pic is of Mouni Roy (carries a red stone)." Another fan wrote, "It's Deepika only." A tweet read, "DP or KA? If DP then release it asap."

"This is #DeepikaPadukone In #BrahmastraTrailer. My queen, that's her face shape. Now we will see her on the big screen in her full glory," said a person on Twitter. A fan shared several close-up pictures and said, "Well we know who it is now. #BrahmastraTrailer."

Fans seem convinced that Deepika Padukone is a part of the mythological fantasy film. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in important roles. It is scheduled to hit theatres on September 9, 2022.
