Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is one of the biggest Indian movies to be made and it is set to hit theatres later this year. The movie’s makers released its first song, titled Kesariya, and it went on to win hearts around the country. Director Ayan Mukerji has now written a note of gratitude for the song’s success and has also revealed some vital information about the next song from the movie.

Taking to Instagram, Mukerji wrote, “Two Weeks since we dropped Kesariya in the World. Sending out a whole lot of Gratitude, Excitement, and Joy for the Song… A new week begins, and we are geared to move from Kesariya into our Next Song drop this week(sic).”

The director also managed to increase fans’ hope for the next song in the post as he said that he thinks that if Kesariya is the heart of the movie, the next song will be its soul.

The director also shared a short video along with the post, which had the popular song playing its background. The video also mentioned some of the milestones the song had crossed including becoming a part of the top 100 music videos on YouTube since it was released.

The song’s first promo was released on the day of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding and it had since become a highly anticipated number. After the makers released the song a few weeks ago, it received some flak for its choice of words. Despite this, it has become a fan-favourite number and has already clocked over 89 million views on YouTube.

While the director has not given an exact release date for the next song, we can expect an update this week. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna, the movie is set to hit theatres on September 9.
