September 28, 2023, was a special date as it was the release date of Prashanth Neel's Salaar. The film featuring Prabhas and Shruthi Haasan was supposed to be released on a massive note but was postponed at the last minute thanks to the delay in the post-production work.

This gave a chance to big films to take the date of Salaar and benefit from the long weekend. Films like Skanda featuring Ram Pothineni, Peddha Kapu1, and Chandramukhi 2 were released on this date. Let's analyze how these films fared at the box office.

Peddha Kapu 1

Srikantha Addala, who is known to direct family dramas made a U-turn and announced a film titled Peddha Kapur featuring Virat Karrna. The film had some big names in key roles and was made in two parts. The first part Peddha Kapu 1 was released on September 28, 2023, with a disappointing word of mouth.

The hype that was created with the trailer did not transform onto the big screen and the film has ended as a massive flop at the box office. As there is no star value, Peddha Kapu is already out of a few screens.

Skanda

Skanda marked the collaboration of mass film director Boyapati Sreenu and star hero Ram Pothineni. As the combination has been awaited for the longest time, there was a massive expectation for this film which will be released on September 28, 2023.

The film started on a negative talk and has been given a thumbs down by the critics. The action drama has made Rs 30 crores gross in three days which is quite less. The makers will lose big money with Skanda which is attracting a strict few in the masses.

Chandramukhi 2

Chandramukhi 2 was the second part of the Chandramukhi franchise. There was no buzz for this film in Telugu as Kangana Ranaut and Lawrence teamed up for the first time. As the film had more of a Tamil flavor, it failed to take off at the box office.

The film has disappointed even its target audience and is out of several theatres already. P Vasu directed this film in Tamil and Telugu. Well, the coming week are also filled with new releases and we need to see how these three films perform at the box office.
